MY STORY.
Hi, I’m Joy England, founder of The Pink Marker Movement®.
Long before PMM became a course or a movement, it began within my own story.
I was a woman who loved God and knew I was deeply blessed—yet I was still carrying labels that had quietly shaped the way I saw myself, limited my vision, and influenced the choices I made.
I didn’t set out to create The Pink Marker Movement®.
It began when God showed me the difference between the labels I had learned to believe and the truth He had been speaking over me all along.
Everything changed when I stopped listening to the labels and started believing Him.
The work of advocacy has always been deeply personal to me.
For much of my life, I knew what it felt like to live silenced—to carry labels that told me I wasn’t worthy, equipped, important enough, or deserving of being seen and heard.
As my career grew, I began recognizing those same labels in the lives of others.
Different women. Different stories. Different circumstances.
But so many of the same lies.
That realization planted the earliest seeds of advocacy in my life, although I couldn’t yet see what God would eventually grow from them.
Over time, He revealed that beneath so many of the things that silence us are labels we have accepted as truth.
Even more importantly, He taught me that freedom isn’t found in simply replacing painful labels with more positive words.
Freedom is found when we bring every label beneath the authority of His Word.
Those seeds of advocacy eventually grew into something I never could have planned for myself: a ministry.
Today, through The Pink Marker Movement®, I have the privilege of walking alongside women as they uncover the labels they have believed, discover what God has already spoken, and learn to live from His truth.
Because I’ve learned something along the way:
Our labels don’t get the final word.
God does.
